- Compliance with Laws and Rules: I will adhere to all applicable county, state, and national laws and regulations governing the practice of Reiki and complementary integrative modalities.
- Confidentiality: I will maintain the confidentiality of all information shared during sessions or classes, respecting the privacy of my clients and students.
- Non-Diagnosis and Non-Prescription: I will never diagnose or prescribe treatment, nor will I advise clients or students to alter their prescribed treatment or interfere with the care provided by licensed healthcare providers.
- Safe and Supportive Environment: I will provide a safe and comfortable space for sessions and classes, fostering empowerment and support for my clients and students.
- Exemplary Work: I will serve as a beacon in my community by consistently delivering the highest quality work possible.
- Boundaries and Sensitivity: I will respect the boundaries and needs of my clients and students, maintaining appropriate professional conduct and creating a safe space for healing.
- Education and Enhancement: I will educate my clients and students about the value of Reiki and complementary integrative modalities, clarifying that these practices enhance traditional treatment protocols and do not guarantee a cure or substitute qualified medical or professional care.
- Respect and Honor: I will treat all clients and students with the utmost respect and honor, recognizing their individuality and unique paths.
- Consultation and Referral: When appropriate, I will suggest consultations or referrals to licensed professionals such as medical doctors or therapists to ensure the comprehensive well-being of my clients.
- Professional Conduct: I will adhere to professional boundaries during in-person sessions, ensuring that clients are never asked to disrobe or touch sensitive areas. Hands-off healing will be practiced entirely during in-person sessions.
- Harmony and Cooperation: I will strive to create harmony and friendly cooperation among fellow practitioners in my community, representing the organizations I am associated with in a professional manner.
- Respect for Diverse Perspectives: I will respect and honor the views and paths of others concerning Reiki and energy healing modalities.
- Have a pure and clear intention to offer my services for the highest good of my clients and the highest potential of my students.
- Work to provide an empowering and supportive environment for clients and students.
- Actively work on my own healing journey, embodying and fully expressing the essence of Reiki and other energy healing modalities in all aspects of my life and practice.
- Provide a clear written description of subjects to be taught during each level of a Reiki course or other modality that I teach prior to class.
- Educate my clients and students on the value of Reiki and any complementary integrative modalities that I practice.
- Abide by all county, state, and national laws and rules, if any, regarding Reiki and any complementary integrative modalities that I practice.
- Work to create harmony and friendly cooperation between myself and other Practitioners in my community and will represent the organizations that I am associated with in the most professional manner.
- Provide a brief oral or written description of what happens during a session and what to expect before a client’s initial session.
- Be available for questions and assistance after students complete a course with me.
- Abide by a vow of confidentiality. Any information that is discussed within the context of a session or class with me is confidential between myself and my clients and students.
